Massage can Provide Many Positive Psychological Effects

The main benefits that massage therapy provides have to do with relaxation and stress relief.

However, the National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine (NCCAM) points to the extended positive effects of reduced anxiety, improved moods, increased relaxation and the promotion of energy. The increase of adrenalin and blood pressure within the body can be reversed over time through

multiple massage sessions to combat and reduce overall anxiety. One's mood can be improved by the ability of massage to assist in the release of serotonin and endorphins into the bloodstream, which

elevates our moods. It is only common sense to understand how massages can be one of the best ways to increase relaxation through soothing and calm music, healing fragrances within the environment while tight muscles are being relaxed and loosened.

Possibly one of the greatest psychological effects of massage is simply the fact that a massage can energize the client while providing an increase in concentration and mental sharpness.
